After the fall of 2010 when Melorah spent more time riding in the back of an ambulance and we had our own room reserved at Children's Hospital every few weeks, Melorah started to lose her trunk strength. Now this was the kid that could do upside down sit-up when she was little. What are upside down sit-ups? It is when your mom holds you and you toss yourself upside down so you can touch the floor, then bring yourself back to the original position. Over and over.
We have spent the past year working on developing her trunk strength but we can't seem to get back to where we started. One thing that was strongly recommended was horse therapy. What a great idea! We are in horse country. Only one small (or rather big) problem... I am VERY allergic to horses! I cannot be around them or around people who have ridden them. So, after lots of research we found an alternative.... a fake horse!! It has all the benefits of a regular horse without stabling, eating, pooping or HIVES. LOL
Introducing.... Rose Jade Selena (Yes, she named it!)

BTW, they are pretty big... again I have no sense of size and space.
But if it works, it is so worth it!
